Current research or planned research in Haydom area or related to Haydom:
Future research will include diagnostic review of smear negative and extra-pulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB) and evaluate whether all EPTB diagnosed in the hospital needs anti-tuberculous drugs. More research will focus on HIV sero-prevalence in TB patients, KAPB among patients and community members, diagnostic delay both in patients in health system, and community based DOTS.
