Hello eveyone!
My name is Clara and I stayed at Haydom Lutheran Hospital from February to
May 2009 as a medical student doing an internship. I had the most
wonderful experience - eventhough getting to the hospital from Arusha is a
hassle, when I got there I didnt want to leave!
I worked in the Maternity Ward, working with a gynocologist, learning and
seeing more and more everyday. If you are a medical or nursing student I
would recommend going to Haydom. Everyday was a new start, meeting
grateful people and experiencing things you would never do back home.
Even when things were tough and difficult, there are many other people in
your situation who you can talk to and that understand you..jpg)
Also when you go dont miss the chance of climbing Mt. Hanang, seeing Lake
Basoto and doing a safari in NgoroNgoro..
You will never regret it if you go - in my opinion, whoever doesnt go
misses out on the possibilty to develop as a person and see things people
in our part of should see! At the end of my stay my father came to visit
and he was as impressed as me. MY ADVICE - make the trip!
